House of Fraser website redirects to Flannels

House of Fraser’s website is now redirecting customers to Flannels, as the department store enters its sixth day without an ecommerce presence.

The HoF site originally went down the morning (10 August) that Sports Direct bought the chain in a pre-pack deal worth £90m, but it went live again quickly that day. The retailer then took its website offline on 15 August following a dispute with warehouse operator XPO Logistics.

Workers at the department store’s Wellingborough and Milton Keynes distribution centres were told by site operator XPO Logistics to stop accepting goods and processing deliveries for HoF.

HoF has since contacted shoppers to say it has cancelled all orders that have not yet been sent to shoppers.

Flannels is also owned by Sports Direct.

  • If you look up ‘flannel’ in English slang, you’ll find this move amusing. Gerald Ratner-esque!
