House of Vans closes for renovation

House of Vans, the event space under London’s Waterloo station belonging to footwear brand Vans, has closed its doors for a full upgrade and renovation.

The space opened in August 2014 and has hosted a wide variety of skate schools, special events, gigs and film screenings.

The street area of the skatepark will be updated with new obstacles, although exact details are still under wraps.

“After two and a half years of the current skatepark setup it’s time for a fresh approach,” said Robert Smith, House of Vans venue manager and professional skateboarder.

House of Vans will reopen in May with a full calendar of events.
