Hudson to target America

Footwear brand Hudson is gearing up to push into the US market and will show at Las Vegas fair WSA this week.
Both the Hudson and H by Hudson footwear brands will show next week at the fair and hope to attract sales partners and key accounts in the US.

A spokeswoman for Hudson said: "We think the Hudson mainline formals, which are all "Made in Italy", are very relevant to the US market as is the more casual side of the H by Hudson range for a more competitive price point."

She added: "We know that the market is very different. From our experience (apart from in the major cities) the [US] market is not so trend driven hence we will be including lots Hudson classics as well as the more directional styles."

WSA takes places from February 21-23 2008 and is the biggest footwear trade fair in the world attracting more than 36,000 visitors. More than 1,600 exhibitors take part showcasing 6,000 brands.
