Hugo Boss appoints new UK managing director

Hugo Boss has promoted UK managing director Hans Schmitt to senior vice president of Hugo Boss Europe and the Middle East, and appointed a new UK boss.

Hans Schmitt will be replaced by Bernd Hake, who is currently brand director for the group's Boss Black men's and women's wear collections. Hake and Schmitt will take on their respective new roles from January 1.

Schmitt, who has been with the company for 12 years, has been managing director of Hugo Boss UK for six years, and was previously managing director of Hugo Boss Japan.

Hake has been at Hugo Boss for 11 years, holding positions including managing director of Hugo Boss footwear and accessories in Switzerland, and business development manager at Hugo Boss headquarters.
