Hunter has named Vincent Wauters, president of outdoor brand Arc’teryx, as its new chief executive.
Wauters will start his new role on March 1. He replaces James Seuss, who stepped down in November 2015 after three years at Hunter.
Wauters joined Arc’teryx, which is part of the Amer Sports Group in Vancouver, Canada, in 2012. He has also been president of apparel at Amer Sports since March 2015.
Hunter said Wauters will “drive the brand forward” during its next stage of development.
Wauters said: “The combination of heritage, performance and fashion is what makes Hunter so unique. What has been accomplished in the last few years is remarkable and I look forward to building on this, realising Hunter’s global potential and setting the path towards an ambitious and inspiring brand future.”
Wauters has been replaced by Arc’teryx’s global commercial leader Jon Hoerauf, who has been promoted to general manager. He now reports directly to Heikki Takala, chief executive of Amer Sports.
