Hunter opens first store on Regent Street

Hunter has opened its first company-owned store at 83-85 Regent Street as a showcase for its newly-extended range that now includes outerwear and knitwear.

The brand, known for its wellington boot, has introduced selected pieces of clothing to the range for autumn 14, in addition a wider range of footwear and accessories, as it repositions as a lifestyle label.

The 5,500 sq ft space across three floors stocks footwear, accessories and clothing for men and women, and footwear for children. The company is planning to officially launch the new store on November 19.

The interior pays homage to the heritage associations of the brand in a contemporary style, with space designed to resemble a traditional boot room in an English country house, as well as a barn and a forest.

“We wanted to open the store here on Regent Street to showcase the variety of the new categories we have developed, which includes some new varieties of the iconic Hunter wellington boot plus some great new styles in footwear such as a high heel boot and a Chelsea boot for women and a lace-up boot for men,” said chief executive James Seuss. “Our new ranges of outerwear and knitwear are very exciting too.”
