Ian Watson to join Hotter as CEO

The former chief executive of children’s shoe brand Start-Rite, Ian Watson, is joining footwear brand Hotter in the same role.

Watson will join Hotter in March. He replaces Sara Prowse, who has held the position for three years.

Prowse said: “I’m very sad to be leaving. Hotter is a great business and the brand has huge potential domestically and internationally. I am leaving in the knowledge that the business is set up well to compete in what is going to be a continued challenging retail market.”

Watson resigned from Start-Rite on 31 January.  Former product director at Start-Rite Kate Tansley has since taken over as chief executive.
