David Beckham is expanding his collaboration with Swedish fast fashion retailer H&M to cover the Modern Essentials menswear collection.

For spring 2015, the former England footballer will choose his favourite menswear pieces from the Modern Essentials collection at H&M to create ‘Modern Essentials selected by David Beckham’.

Key pieces in the collection include a linen bomber jacket, a white chalk-washed denim jacket, a sharp linen blazer, a polo shirt and poplin white shirt.

The collaboration builds on the successful David Beckham Bodywear line, first launched in 2012, and will be sold in stores and online from March 5.

“I am thrilled to continue and extend my collaboration with H&M by selecting my favourite pieces from this Spring’s Modern Essentials collection,” said Beckham. “Each piece is a new wardrobe classic that will update every man’s spring wardrobe with great style.”

Modern Essentials selected by David Beckham will be promoted through a campaign shot by Marc Foster, who is known for directing films such as Monster’s Ball, Quantum of Solace and Finding Neverland.

Beckham has also created a new Bodywear collection for H&M, which will also launch in stores and online on March 5, and includes loungewear pieces in navy blue, grey melange, white and orange.
