Debenhams has given Drapers a tour of its new-look menswear section ahead of the official launch on Wednesday.

The £25m refurbishment of the seven storey building includes an extra floor of trading space, a glass atrium ceiling and the retailer’s largest ever beauty hall, shoe department and lingerie division.

Menswear, which was previously located in the basement has been elevated to the first floor and offers a new designer collection from Savile Row’s Patrick Grant.

The store modification, which has taken a year to complete, runs alongside the relocation of the Debenhams’ head office and executive staff from above the store and the three buildings behind the shop, to a new office in Regent’s Park.

The move has added 20,000 sq ft of extra selling space to the flagship.
