Image gallery: Harrods and Disney to auction princess dresses

Harrods and Disney are to auction 10 Disney Princess dresses to raise money for Great Ormond Street Hospital Children’s Charity.

Designers including Oscar de la Renta, Versace and Elie Saab are among those to have created the exclusive dresses, which are an interpretation of 10 different Disney Princesses.

The gowns, which were put on show in the Harrods windows over Christmas, will be sold at auction house Christies in November. All proceeds raised will go to the charity.

Harrods store image director Mark Briggs said: “These exquisite dresses are really one-of-a-kind fashion items from some of the most celebrated and collected designers this century.

“They caused a huge amount of excitement when they were first showcased in the Harrods windows and we’re sure fashion aficionados around the world will be thrilled with the opportunity to own something so utterly unique.”
