Image Gallery: Jigsaw emporium opens

Jigsaw has opened the doors of its one-off Emporium at 55 Duke Street, Mayfair, which will offer a selection of brands from its Chelsea boutique The Shop at Bluebird as well as the retailer’s full collection.

The 5,500 sq ft store, which runs across both basement and street level, will house womenswear brands such as Ostwald Helgason, Studio Nicholson, Katie Rowland and Each x Other. Menswear will include Woolrich, Levi’s Vintage Clothing, Stutterheim, Hentsch Man, Filson and Grenson. Homeware, beauty and publications will also be part of the mix.

The Emporium will also feature an in-store café, operated by London chain Fernandez & Wells, alongside art installations created and organised by an evolving collective of local artists.

Unlike several other retailers, the Duke Street Emporium deliberately eschews “gadgets or gizmos” to offer “a return to the shopping experience as a pleasure”.

Jigsaw chief executive Peter Ruis said: “We are delighted to be working with (landlord) Grosvenor and are looking forward to creating a unique and radical destination within the West End. Our intention is to deliver the “must-visit” store for both international and domestic style arbiters.”
