IMAGE GALLERY: Royal Mail unveils fashion stamps

Alexander McQueen, Paul Smith and Vivienne Westwood are among the designers to feature on a new set of stamps available from today.

The Royal Mail has issued ten first class stamps featuring styles from ten designers shot by fashion photographer Sølve Sundsbø.

Designers featured also include Hardy Amies, Norman Hartnell, Granny Takes a Trip, Ossie Clark with Celia Birtwell, Tommy Nutter, Jean Muir and Zandra Rhodes.

Philip Parker, Royal Mail Stamps spokesperson, said: “British fashion has grown to become a major national industry. It employs about a million people and contributes directly some £21bn to the UK economy. So it is an honour to be able to pay homage to some of the designers who made the industry what it is today.”
