Image Gallery: Topshop launches in LA

Arcadia is launching its forth Topshop and Topman store in the US, opening a 30,000 sq ft store in Los Angeles today.

The store officially opens today, with a “takeover” of shopping complex The Grove, with Topshop and Topman transforming the area into a British street party.  Free treats will be given out to shoppers, who will also see enjoy live music and special guests.

The LA store will be the first in the world to sell the forthcoming Lux collection, as well as the London Fashion Week collection Unique, the second JW Anderson collaboration and the premium limited edition line Boutique, as well as the mainline collections.

Last night Arcadia boss Sir Philip Green hosted a star-studded pre-launch party, attended by the likes of Lionel Richie, Latoya Jackson, Jennifer Lopez, Solange Knowles and Nicole Scherzinger.

His wife Tina and daughter Chloe were also at the red carpet, as was actress Kate Bosworth who is launching an exclusive collection at Topshop.

Green said the LA opening was “particularly exciting” for the two retailers. “I am confident that we will deliver unique and authoritative British fashion to the many customers who are already fans of the brands, whilst giving many others the chance to try us out for the first time.

“Rick Caruso, and his team at The Grove, have been more than welcoming and we are very proud of our store, our collections and the personal shopping experiences that we offer.”
