In pictures: Edwin's first full womenswear line

Japanese denim brand Edwin is launching a full womenswear collection for autumn 16.

Japanese denim brand Edwin is launching a full womenswear collection for autumn 16.

Edwin already produces a limited number of women’s shirts, jeans and jackets, but this will be its first full line.

The 70-piece range will include selvage skinny and wider, cropped-fit jeans, leather bib overalls, chunky knits and a leather jacket.

Wholesale prices will range from £13.50 for a basic T-shirt to £173 for the Zoe leather jacket.

The collection has been created under the direction of women’s denim designer Andrea Ensinger, who joined from Lee Jeans in May 2015. Ensinger was at Lee Jeans for just over 10 years, and previously worked as a denim designer at Tommy Hilfiger.

The brand said: “Edwin is very well established within menswear so we felt it was the right time to relaunch women’s. It has the potential to be an area of significant growth for us. Andrea Ensinger joined us last year and so far, the response has only been positive.”
