In The Style lures senior execs from Missguided

Manchester-based fast fashion etailer In The Style has hired Missguided’s former chief financial officer Paul Masters as chief operating officer in its first senior appointment, Drapers can reveal.

Dane Stanley, former global marketing director at Missguided, will also join In The Style as chief marketing officer.

Masters joined Missguided in February 2015 and left this summer “by amicable and mutual agreement following discussions around the long-term strategy for the business”.

Before that, he worked at Bench for six years in various roles, including group finance director and interim CEO, between April 2008 and the end of 2014.

He had previously spent 10 years at Umbro, where he worked his way up to director of group finance and investor relations.

Stanley joined Missguided as global head of digital marketing in August last year and was made global marketing director in February. He has previously held senior digital positions at clothing etailer Woodhouse, the Co-operative Group and Travelex.

In The Style founder Adam Frisby said: “In The Style has very ambitious growth plans and this is a huge step in the right direction for us.”

Frisby started In The Style from his bedroom in August 2013. In May, private equity Livingbridge invested an undisclosed sum. The capital injection has allowed In The Style to make the senior appointments and will also go towards scaling up operations and IT upgrades.
