How was it for you?

Did you take part in Skillsmart Retail’s Independents’ Day yesterday? Then we want to hear from you.

  • Great intiative and hopefully it will build in the future; certainly would be happy to take part. However knew nothing about it until last Friday...

  • Kasbah in Billericay, Essex took part in Independent Retailer's Day on 4th July and we splayed posters and balloons along with a 20% discount promotion for the day to promote the campaign.

None of our customers had heard of it but we discussed it with all our customers and it was a great success.

We also tried to include the rest of the High Street retailers who are running various campaigns to encourage local support of the High Street but without success It was felt that the campaign was a great idea but not widely advertised enough as no one knew what we were talking about. However, we are happy to support this campaign for the future as nonetheless it was very successful for us both financially and in spreading the word to our customers who are very proud of our High Street and the high number of independent retailers in it and do wish to support it.
