The Hambledon in Winchester

Chosen by Les Dawson, sales manager of footwear brand Hudson.

The Hambledon is something very special; a one-stop shop for everything you could want or need in life. It’s a concept department store that sells designer clothes and accessories across womenswear, menswear and kidswear for day, evening and occasions. It’s the place to go for homeware, gifts, vintage pieces, even toys. The brands are a mix of unusual and unique British, Danish, French and Scandinavian.

The store recently celebrated its 10th birthday and I don’t think it will have a problem celebrating another 10, as people come from all over the country to visit this retail gem.

I’ve been a fan of the store for a long time and it has recently started stocking both the H by Hudson men’s styles and the new women’s range. We sit beside some of my favourite brands such as Folk, Margaret Howell and Oliver Spencer, so it’s an inspiration for me when I visit the store as I’m not just going in my capacity as a salesman but also as an excited customer.
