Indie retailers Drome and Footasylum upsize in Liverpool

Independent fashion retailer Drome and sister brand Footasylum will upsize to a new combined store at Liverpool One.

The two retailers will open a 16,295 sq ft store, with separate fascias, on Paradise Street this summer. Their current store at the scheme is 14,525 sq ft.

The move will be their second upsize since first opening in Grosvenor’s Liverpool One in 2008.

Set across two floors, Drome will stock a range of brands including Adidas Originals, Ralph Lauren Polo, Fred Perry Laurel and Nudie Jeans.

French Connection also opened a 2,013 sq ft store at the scheme on June 7.

Miles Dunnett, head of asset management for the Grosvenor Liverpool Fund, said: “Drome and Footasylum are another two highly regarded brands whose success in Liverpool One means they need more space. We are delighted we can accommodate their growth, particularly as they are such strong independent retailers originating from Liverpool.”

Clare Nesbit, director of Footasylum, added: “Liverpool One has been a great location for Drome and Footasylum and has played a key role in establishing the brands as household names in the region. As a consequence of our success we needed a bigger flagship presence and Grosvenor worked very closely with us to create the perfect store.”
