Marks & Spencer unveiled its new casualwear sub-brand Indigo at its London Marble Arch flagship yesterday.
The M&S Indigo collection, with price points ranging from £9.50 for a pair of leggings, to £69 for a wool blend Gingham check coat, is denim-led, and has a substantial lightwieght jean offer.
Several styles of washed jean are offered with an entry price point being provided by a bootcut style at £15.00, followed by skinny and low rise options leading to the top-priced “boyfriend” line at £29.50. Co-ordinating tops have been kept loose with long length jersey styles sitting alongside chunky cable-knit cropped cardigans at £39.50.
The colour range is narrow, with denim blues dominating and white, cream, grey, forest green and shades of purple are all used. The collection also features an accessories range which includes scaves, boots and bags.
The Marble Arch launch was accompanied by a styling session led by television presenter Mylene Klass, who posed obligingly for the cameras with the “Style Team”. The launch will be replicated by a planned roadshow that will see the range promoted in major branches around the country.
