Inditex donates £2.6m to

Zara owner Inditex is donating €3.7m (£2.6m) to to provide safe water and sanitation to those with scarce resources.

Inditex group chairman Pablo Isla and chief executive Gary White signed a four-year partnership agreement between both organisations yesterday at Inditex’s head office in Arteixo, Spain.

The investment will help fund’s WaterCredit programme, which helps people on low incomes in developing counties to gain access to small loans for water and sanitation. It will also expand the scope of activities already under way in Bangladesh and will start the initiative in Cambodia.
