Instagram has today announced two new updates: live video on Instagram Stories and disappearing photos and videos for groups and friends via Instagram Direct.
Instagram Stories launched in August to allow users the opportunity to share moments that aren’t kept on their profile. More than 100 million people now use it every day, the social network said.
The latest update, Live Video, works for up to an hour, alerting friends via a notification or “Live” under your profile photo in the stories bar. The “Explore” function allows users to see live stories happening around the world.
Both features will start rolling out globally over the next few weeks.
