Investigation launched after child dies in Hugo Boss' Bicester Village store

Hugo Boss has said it will assist authorities with an investigation after a four-year-old child was killed in an accident at the premium brand’s Bicester Village store.

The young boy was seriously injured by a mirror falling on him last week (June 4) and was treated in hospital but died four days later.

In a statement the brand said everyone at the company was “devastated by this tragic accident”.

It added: “We would like to extend our deepest condolences and sympathies to his family. All of our thoughts are with them at this time. Hugo Boss will assist the authorities in any way with an investigation into the accident.”

Outlet centre Bicester Village also released a statement, saying staff were “deeply saddened. “The matter is now under investigation,” the statement added.
