Irish retail park sale sets new record

Five Irish retail parks have been sold for a combined €175m (£123m), setting a record for the biggest sale of shopping space ever in Ireland.

More than 1.1m sq ft changed hands after investment firm Davidson Kempner bought Nutgrove Retail Park in Dublin, Tullamore Retail Park in Offaly, Deerpark Shopping Park in Kerry, Sligo Retail Park in Sligo and Letterkenny Retail Park in Donegal, according to reports.

Commercial property agents Savills said there was both domestic and international interest in the properties, with bids exceeding €1.22bn (£840m).

Savills and fellow property agents JLL advised on the sale of the properties on behalf of the Bank of Ireland.
