Italian trade fair organiser confirms commitment to Collection Première Moscow

The Italian trade fair organiser Ente Moda Italia has renewed its partnership with the Igedo Company, the organiser of Collection Première Moscow, underlining its intention to continue its participation in the Russian menswear and womenswear trade fair amid difficulties in the country.

The next CPM will be held at the Expocentre in Moscow from September 2-5. EMI, which organises participation in international trade fairs for Italian companies, has been a partner of CPM since its launch in 2003.

EMI president Antonio Gavazzeni said: “Our exhibitors see Russia and the Commonwealth of Independent States as being of major strategic significance because Italian brands and luxury goods are so popular there. The extension and further development of our engagement in this region are therefore a very logical consequence. It will strengthen our global partnership position for Italian fashion companies.”

Philipp Kronen, managing partner of the Igedo Company, said: “In signing this contract ahead of time and by committing ourselves to long-term collaboration, we have substantially revised the agreement compared with its 2007 version. It’s a powerful sign that should speak especially to our Russian customers, particularly against the background of their country’s tense economic situation.”
