Izabel London to enter Indian market

British womenswear brand Izabel London is entering the Indian market after agreeing a deal with local chain Pantaloons.

The Indian retailer, owned by Aditya Birla Fashion & Retail, has 145 stores across the country. Izabel London pieces will now be available in all stores – adding to its 1,000 current points of sale across the UK, Europe and the US.

Pantaloons CEO Shital Mehta said the company was attracted to Izabel London because it wanted to “create exciting moments of shopping for our female customers at our stores”.

“The womenswear division is rapidly growing and has been contributing a significant part to the overall share of the business. With more than 200 styles as part of its spring 16 collection, Izabel London’s brand is already popular among our female customers,” she continued.
