French kidswear business Jacadi is to close its five UK stores following a legal dispute with its UK franchise partner.
The brand is to close its outlets across London by the end of August.
Jacadi’s UK franchise partner French Children’s Wear has initiated a €30,000,000 (£26,547,737) lawsuit against Jacadi before the Commerce Tribunal of Lille for “wrongful termination of contract”.
Jacadi is owned by ID Group and signed a franchising deal with French Children’s Wear in 2012. It was further extended by 10 years in 2015.
