Jacamo reveals winner of ‘real man’ model search

Andy Caine from Leeds has been named the winner of Jacamo’s Real Man Runway competition, its search to find a new “everyday” face for the firm’s autumn 17 campaign.

The competition attracted around 450 finalists of all sizes and backgrounds, and Caine beat 20 finalists in a series of tasks.

The judging panel comprised N Brown Group chief executive Angela Spindler, Jacamo brand ambassador Freddie Flintoff, Donna Green from Models 1 and stylist Carlotta Constant, who looked for style, personality and attitude towards fashion.

Caine is aged 32 and a civil engineering site manager, as well as the owner of a milkshake shop in Pudsey, Leeds.

He said: “This is about as far away as it gets from growing up on a farm, so you can just imagine my reaction when Freddie read out my name at the Real Man Runway final. I’m really happy and grateful to be the winner and can’t wait to get started working together in the new year.”
