Young fashion chain Jack Wills is to pursue further expansion into the US after sales at the chains first three US stores proved strong.
The three stores which opened in the US last year in Nantucket, Martha’s Vineyard and Boston are said to have performed well so far and Williams thinks that the retailer can build on this success. A fourth store in New Haven, Connecticut was opened at the weekend.
Jack Wills is expected to focus on the north east of the US at the moment with sites in Manhattan and Greenwich, Connecticut, all thought to be on the target list.
However, Williams said California was also a priority for the business because web sales to the territory are the largest proportion on its US website.
Williams said: “We expect to grow new stores by 30% per annum, but we are trading in excess of that at our store in Martha’s Vineyard.”
