Pop group The Jackson 5 are set to launch a fashion line for spring 11, called J5 Collection, inspired by iconic outfits from their pop career.
The range is set to include T-shirts, featuring images of the band from the ’60s and ’70s, alongside replicas of the leather jackets Michael Jackson wore in his Thriller and Beat It videos. T-shirts will retail from $32 (£20) and the leather jackets will sell for around $600 (£375).
A footwear line is also in the pipeline.
Jackie, Tito, Jermaine, Marlon and Randy Jackson - along with the estate of the late Michael Jackson - have all collaborated on the line, according to reports.
Jackie Jackson said: “I’ve been wanting to do this for a long time. I’ve seen other friends be successful with their lines, like Puffy with Sean John. The jackets are incredible. They are the real thing. I didn’t really think of them as tributes to Michael in the beginning, but that’s what they are. They represent everything he stood for and everything he’s done in this industry, 100 percent.”
