Exclusive: Jaeger's retail director exits after six months

Anita Lyons has left her position as retail director at Jaeger after six months, Drapers has learned.

Lyons joined Jaeger in April from Whistles, where she was head of retail for three years.

Prior to that she worked at Arcadia for 10 years, joining as brand manager for Topman in 2003 and latterly moving to the position of international senior regional business manager for the group in 2008.

Her reasons for leaving Jaeger are not known.

Drapers understands the business is not seeking a direct replacement. Lyons’ responsibilities have been added to the remit of HR director Nadine Jones, who joined Jaeger in December 2015.

Lyons’ departure follows that of Jaeger’s omnichannel director Caroline Lee and chief financial officer Harminder Atwal earlier this year. Drapers understands Lee will not be replaced. Ken Pratt, former CFO at Hunter, joined Jaeger in the same role in July.

Jaeger has 28 stores across the UK, including in London’s Chelsea, Edinburgh, Oxford, Cambridge, Belfast and Harrogate. It closed 10 stores in the year to 27 February 2016, when sales fell 6.8% to £78.4m compared with the previous year.

It will open a new store on London’s Marylebone High Street on 27 October.
