JD signs sponsorship deal with boxer Scott Quigg

JD has stepped into the ring with boxer Scott Quigg agreeing a three-fight sponsorship deal with the World Super Bantamweight champion.

Quigg, who hails from Bury in Greater Manchester, where JD is based, will wear shorts and a fight kit branded with the brand’s logo for his next fight against Spain’s Kiko Martinez on July 18. The fight will be shown live on Sky Sports.

Stephen White, JD Group marketing director, said: “Scott’s undefeated record speaks for itself; he is a great boxer and is destined for huge things. As a Bury company we are delighted to be able to support local talent and we are very much looking forward to working with Scott and his team at this exciting stage in his boxing career.”

This isn’t the first time JD has ventured into the boxing market, having worked on a number of big names over the years including Amir Khan, George Groves and Tony Bellew.
