JD Sports opens four new Open stores

Open, the menswear fascia from sportswear giant JD Sports, will launch four new stores next week in Bristol, Glasgow, Leicester and Dudley.

The stores will open on November 29 at Cabot Circus in Bristol, Silverburn Shopping Centre in Glasgow, Highcross Shopping Centre in Leicester and the Merry Hill Shopping Centre in Dudley.

JD Open managing director Stephen Galea, formerly of men’s young fashion chain Blue Inc, said: “We aim to deliver a simple no-nonsense approach to menswear premium quality at affordable prices in a clean, modern, easy–to-shop environment. We are excited to see how our customers respond to us.”

Its existing stores are in Stevenage, Northampton, Brighton, Leeds, Bury, Manchester and Stoke-on-Trent. The brand also has a transactional website.

The first store in the mini-chain opened on August 18 in Stoke-on-Trent, with a proposition based on a no-nonsense approach to menswear. Prices range from £5 for a T-shirt to £40 for a parka.
