Moss Bros commercial and operations director Jemima Bird is to step down from the firm to return to her consultancy JBird Consulting.
Bird joined the menswear retailer in February 2013 as a strategic brand and marketing consultant and moved onto the executive board as commercial and operations director in July that year, with responsibility of the strategy across the 135 store estate.
Rather than replacing Bird, Moss Bros will merge its marketing and ecommerce teams from its new financial year in February to create a new omnichannel department, overseen by omnichannel director Neil Sansom.
Bird will retain Moss Bros as a client, staying on in a consultancy capacity to integrate the two teams from January 31. An end date has not yet been confirmed.
Chief executive Brian Brick said: “Having previously supported us in a consultancy capacity, Jemima has significant experience in this area being the original architect of our rebrand strategy and having overseen the successful development of our marketing function. We look forward to Jemima’s help in the next stage of our brand development.”
