Jemima Vine launches with smoking slipper collection

New women’s footwear label Jemima Vine has launched online this week with a capsule collection of smoking slippers.

The brand, created by Jennifer Markham, is aimed at women looking for flat shoes that bridge the gap between work stilletos and casual flats.

There are three colourways - red suede, blue suede and natural snake - in the debut “Edie” collection, which cost £149 at retail, each finished with gold piping. Markham, who used to work in the City, designed the shoes in London and manufactured them in Spain using leather and cushioned soles.

The range is currently only available online, but talks are taking place with stockists. Two new styles and additional colours will be added for spring 13 and a full collection will be launched for autumn 13.
