Jigsaw poaches M&S online trading manager to lead ecommerce push

Jigsaw has appointed Marks & Spencer’s James Williams to the newly-created role of head of online trading, effective from January.

Williams has held a number of roles at M&S since September 2007 including store manager, senior finance and operations manager and most recently online trading manager for food, which he took on in March 2013.

He will be responsible for managing all trading and digital marketing activity for Jigsaw UK and The Shop at Bluebird’s transactional website following its planned launch in 2015.

Kate Holt, Jigsaw’s group director of ecommerce, said: “James joins us with a wealth of experience at a time when we are investing heavily in our online channel and our omnichannel capabilities.”
