Jil Sander names Rodolfo Paglialunga as new creative director

Jil Sander has appointed Rodolfo Paglialunga as the company’s new creative director replacing the eponymous founder, who announced her third departure from the brand last October.

Paglialunga will make his debut for the brand at Milan Fashion Week in September where he will show his spring 15 collection.

The new creative director previously spent 10 years working at Prada, where he became womenswear design director, before leaving in 2009 to become the creative director of Vionnet.

He follows Raf Simons, who led Jil Sander from July 2005 to February 2012, before leaving for the top job at Dior when Sander herself returned to the label, only to depart again 18 months later.
