Jimmy Choo chief to buy luxury goods brands

Jimmy Choo chief executive Robert Bensoussan is to create a £500 million mini-conglomerate in the luxury goods sector. Bensoussan is expected to link up with private equity firm Towerbrook to buy luxury retailers. They will be placed in an umbrella company alongside Jimmy Choo, which Towerbrook is in the process of buying for £185 million. Bensoussan will target poorly performing firms in the UK, Europe and the US.
