J&M Davidson to open on Mount Street

Accessories, clothing and footwear brand J&M Davidson has taken over the former Mackintosh store at 104 Mount Street, London.

The brand is expected to begin using the 850 sq ft space in autumn 2015. This will be its third store, joining one on Golborne Road in Notting Hill and in Aoyama, Japan.

The interior is being designed by Universal Design Studio in association with former Paul Smith head of interiors Nicholas Chandor.

The business, which was founded by John and Monique Davidson, celebrated its 30th anniversary last year. Prices for bags start at around £550.

Scottish outerwear brand Mackintosh is believed to still own the space and is letting it to the new occupants.
