German womenswear brand Jobis has appointed London-based fashion agency Partners in Fashion to cover sales in the UK and Republic of Ireland.
Partners in Fashion has taken over sales from the spring 09 collection onwards. Jobis was previously sold by The Jacoby Partnership in the UK and Ireland.
Jobis has 30 UK and Irish accounts and Monika Bartsch, director of Partners in Fashion, said she planned to grow this to between 100 and 120 doors.
She said: “We will be targeting independent retailers and independent store groups. We are not acting as importers like the previous setup, we are just agents. This means deliveries will vastly improve as there will be no middle man and everything will take place directly with Germany.”
Jobis focuses on contemporary lifestyle looks with an emphasis on tailoring and outerwear. Prices start at £30, rising to £150 for coats.
The spring 09 collection will be shown at Partners in Fashion’s London showroom on Newman Street in central London from July 21 to August 18.
Partners in Fashion also represents the Michèle, Kirsten, Tendenza, Maria Coca, Atmos and Oldavi brands. Call 020 7636 4207 for more details.
