Exclusive: John Lewis appoints interim fashion buying boss

John Lewis has moved its homeware buying director Christine Kasoulis into the role of fashion buying director on an interim basis following a management shake-up, Drapers can reveal.

Kasoulis replaces Ed Connolly, who has moved into the new role of interim trading director. It follows commercial director Paula Nickolds’ promotion to managing director last month.

In his new role, Connolly is responsible for buying and merchandising across all departments. John Lewis said a recruitment process for a permanent trading director is underway.

Kasoulis has been buying director for home since 2013. She was previously head of buying for home at the department store chain for five years.

Mark Lewis, who was retail and online director, left John Lewis at the end of last month.
