John Lewis appoints new non-exec

The John Lewis Partnership has appointed Andy Martin as non-executive director of the partnership’s board.

Martin is a non-executive director at FTSE 100 quality-assurance company Intertek Group and is the former group chief operating officer for Europe and Japan at food service contractor Compass Group.

Martin replaces Baroness Hogg, who stepped down on 30 June at the end of her term in office.

Sir Charlie Mayfield, chairman of John Lewis Partnership, said: ”Andy’s wealth of business and financial experience will complement the strength of the board, and we are looking forward to his input in shaping the continued development of our “It’s Your Business 2028” strategy.

“I would also like to personally thank Baroness Hogg for the valuable contribution she has made to the partnership over the past seven years.”
