John Lewis has stretched its cut-off point for festive click-and-collect orders by 24 hours to 8pm on Saturday (23 December).
This means customers will be able to collect their items at John Lewis stores until they shut on Christmas Eve. Shops will operate on Christmas Eve in accordance with its usual Sunday opening and closing times, which vary per branch.
Dino Rocos, operations director at John Lewis, said the department store expects to see a surge in gift-buying “right up until the last minute”, as Christmas Eve falls on a Sunday.
He said: “Our decision to extend click-and-collect cut-off times this Christmas means that for our customers the stress of Christmas shopping is a thing of the past, allowing them to spend more time with their families and less time chasing parcels at this important time of year.”
