John Lewis fashion sales jump as womenswear surges

Fashion sales at John Lewis climbed 3.3% in the week ending 17 February as womenswear sales surged 16.6%.

Sales were further boosted by the purchase of Valentine’s Day gifts as jewellery, purses and perfume performed particularly strongly.

This week John Lewis will begin selling a range of dresses designed by designer Eudon Choi both in-store and online.

The dresses have been designed as part of John Lewis’ Modern Rarity label.
