John Lewis poaches M&S group procurement director

Marks & Spencer group head of procurement Roger Davies is to join the John Lewis Partnership as its group procurement director.

He will step up to the role this summer.

Davies has worked at M&S for eight years. He joined the retailer in 2009 after having worked at British Airways since 1992 in a variety of roles.

It is not yet known who will replace Davies at M&S.

Patrick Lewis, group finance director of the John Lewis Partnership, said: “Roger joins us with a wealth of knowledge in both retail and procurement, and I look forward to working with him to grow the value procurement can offer the Partnership.”

Last week, M&S revealed several store closures as part of ongoing efforts to reshape its UK store estate.
