John Lewis promotes IT director to group CIO

John Lewis IT director Paul Coby has been promoted to chief information officer of the full John Lewis Partnership.

Coby, who joined the business in 2011, will now be responsible for the IT at John Lewis’s 47 department stores and Waitrose’s 349 branches.

A replacement for John Lewis IT director is currently being recruited.

Prior to joining John Lewis, Coby was CIO of British Airways for 10 years. He is also a non-executive director on the boards of Pets at Home and P&O Ferries.
