John Lewis sales rise

Sales at John Lewis rose 5.4% for the week to January 26.

Separates and new JL own brand helped boost womenswear, which was up 3.1% for the period.

Branded casualwear drove increases on menswear. Menswear, leisure & beauty rose 2%. Kidswear, toys and crafts was down 2.2% over the period but babywear had double digit growth.
