Sales at John Lewis have risen 11% so far this week as cold weather kicked in and shoppers prepared for Christmas.
The increase, follows a 7% rise for the week to November 17, with sales up 10% on Saturday. The Oxford Street store was the best performing, with a 10% increase.
Director of selling operations Dan Knowles said: "This week is going incredibly well, we are 11% up for the week so far. This is due to a continuation of last week's cold weather and an increasingly festive feel at our shops."
