John Lewis has established a partnership with Australian department store group Myer, to offer “a department store within a department store” in six of its stores.
The retailer will launch shop-in-shops initially around its homewares categories but will be extended further within the Myer network if successful, The Sunday Morning Herald has reported.
Last year Myer introduced Topshop concessions into its stores.
The John Lewis offer will run as a wholesale relationship, with “a bespoke concept store – a shop within a shop with a John Lewis design”, the newspaper said.
The deal has taken two years of negotiations and head of international retail at John Lewis, Katie Jordan, said Australia is one of the top five destinations for John Lewis online.
