John Lewis tops Youtube Christmas ad rankings

John Lewis has secured the top spot on Youtube’s UK Christmas advert top 10 rankings this year.

The department store’s ‘Moz the Monster’ campaign pulled ahead of the competition on 4 December based on organic and paid views, watch time and audience retention.

This was followed by Marks & Spencer’s advertisement, while last year’s winner, Sainsbury’s, came third.

Supermarkets and department stores continue to dominate, but etailer Very moved up two positions to place fourth with its ‘Get More Out of Giving’ campaign.

Last year’s leaderboard included Burberry and Asda. Neither of these placed in the top 10 this year.
