John Varvatos to open first European store in London

Menswear retailer and brand John Varvatos has confirmed it is to open its first European store at 12-13 Conduit Street in London, in September.

At 10,000 sq ft the store, which will be spread across three floors, will be the business’ largest and will bring together the mainline collection and sportswear-focused Star USA range, along with its collaboration with Converse.

The ground floor and first floor will take inspiration from the Madison Avenue store’s “refined elegance” with a focus on tailoring and sportswear.

The basement will draw on the brand’s home in the Bowery in New York and will incorporate a live music space and a collection of music memorabilia for sale.

The London store will be the first shop to launch a personal stylist and a tailoring programme John Varvatos Made to Measure.

John Varvatos was launched in 2000 with a collection of tailored clothing and sportswear, but now extends to footwear, bags, belts, eyewear, limited edition watches, men’s fragrances, and the John Varvatos U.S.A collection.
